Teresa Castro
Porto based multimedia artist, musician and researcher.
With a passion for exploring the intersections of sound, technology, and ecology, my work spans installations, performances, and interdisciplinary projects. I hold a degree in Multimedia Art and a Masters in Sound Art and Technology, where I earned distinction for my thesis on speculative listening to a landscape in transformation. My artistic practice investigates innovative ways to connect human and non-human entities, often using sound and visual mediums to create immersive experiences. I have been recognized for my work, including the selection for the Mostra Nacional de Jovens Criadores. I am also a musiciam under the moniker Calcutá.
Currently, I am pursuing opportunities to deepen my research in artistic education and sustainability, aiming to contribute to a more empathetic and connected world.
